The Leaving
Part One
He loves her but hes leaving
Sad, heartless, cruel
Or is it because he loves her so
That its the right thing to do?
She sees him like no other,
He opens up his core,
But now she is no better
Than the dirt upon the floor?
No tears, no pines, no begs
But a silent useless hope
The moment so feared and dreaded
The dream unexpectedly broke
Cant you stay for longer?
Lingers on her tongue
But what will one more moment do
What is done is done
Did
do I mean nothing to you?
They both know thats not true.
He flinches, freezes rigid
That will leave a bruise
His face suddenly softens
Ill come back for you
Dont lie she spits, and turns away
We both know thats not true.
Part Two
She tries to make him stay.
Beg and fight and guilt
Does she not realise that
This is killing him too?
Be cold, a natural instinct
Emotions left at the door
How else will this all end?
They can not go wanting more
No tears, no pines, no begs
But a silent useless hope
The moment so feared and dreaded
The dream unexpectedly broke.
But how do you remove
Memories and feelings?
How can you just trash it?
He might as well stop breathing
'Do
do I mean nothing to you?
He fights back the tears.
She must know thats far from true
And now all he feels is fear.
He loves her more than life itself
But there is no other way.
Ill come back for you he says
He hopes he will one day.

Comments
It's beautiful. I really like the flow of it, and how you put it into two parts to show both sides. Great work.
